STRATEGIES OF ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL STUDIES IN DEALING WITH THE INFLUENCE OF GLOBAL CULTURE

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies used by the Al-Barokah Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School in dealing with the influence of global culture. This study is a field study with a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques use observation, interview, and documentation methods which are then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana analysis model which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the strategies used by the Al-Barokah Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School include: an integrated educational approach such as ngaji weton and diniyah, character education through the exemplary behavior of kyai, strengthening the tradition of Islamic boarding schools through routine activities, and the use of technology with supervision such as the use of gadgets for Islamic boarding school preaching media.
