APPLICATION OF DISCUSSION PRESENTATION IN ISLAMIC RELIGION EDUCATION AND ETHICT SUBJECT TO IMPRIOVE STUDENT' THINKING ABILITY
Abstract
This study aims to describe efforts to improve students' thinking skills in PAI and Budi Pekerti subjects through the discussion-presentation method. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This study collects data using direct observation and documentation techniques. Then the data is analyzed using phenomenological analysis techniques, a technique where conclusions are drawn based on data from the field per the objectives of the research conducted. The results showed that PAI and Budi Pekerti learning which was carried out using the discussion-presentation method, gave optimal results to the thinking ability of students. With this method, students become more active, dare to express their opinions, and are more critical of existing problems. In addition, by applying the discussion-presentation method, students have the confidence to speak in front of many people to convey what they have learned. With group discussions, students can solve problems by exchanging opinions and respecting different opinions so that the problems faced will be resolved faster and students become easier to understand
